Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure a correct angle position by providing a rotary disk with an eccentric correction belt concentric with a recording belt and detecting the position of the eccentric correction belt by a position error element PSD provided at a position of 90 deg. from a code detection head. CONSTITUTION:A charge distribution of the recording belt 2 which indicates a Gray code pattern is stored in a CCD 14 with projection light from a laser diode LD 11 and then converted into a binary signal through a driving circuit 32 and a waveform shaping circuit 34. This read result contains a code detection error due to the eccentricity of the recording belt 2. Light emitted continuously by an LED 21, on the other hand, is led in an arithmetic circuit 36 through the eccentric correction belt 4 and PSD 22 and an analog signal which indicating the distance between the arrival point of a light spot and electric point center of the PSD 22. This output is A/D-converted 37 and sent as a code position error to an arithmetic circuit 35. The output of the circuit 34 is therefore converted into a parallel position signal and the number of codes corresponding to the code position error signal is found and the result is operated with a specific expression to correct the code.
