Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the discharge of such a high electrostatic charge voltage which induces a malfunction by weaving conductive yarn into a part of a cleaning tape consisting of synthetic fibers. CONSTITUTION:This cleaning tape 1 is wound like a reel and is housed in a cartridge 2, is constituted of plane weave fabric structure of polyester filaments and is partly woven with the conductive yarn 4. The yarn 4 is provided with a conductive layer 12 dispersed with 10-40wt.% carbon black between a core part 10 and sheath 11 of nonconductive polyester. The static electrically of such a high electrostatic charge which generates the malfunction is gradually corona-discharged into the air and, therefore, the discharge of the high voltage is prevented at the time of setting this tape 1 in place of a magnetic tape and rubbing a head to get rid of stains.
