Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently perform cleaning by providing a first cleaning member and a second cleaning member to clean the surface of the first cleaning member. CONSTITUTION:When a card 2 is inserted from an insertion opening 3, the insertion of the card 2 is detected by a photosensor 8a, and on this detection signal, driving rolls 5a-5c and a cleaning roller 4 start rotation. The card 2 is carried into a device main body 1 by the rotation of the roll 5. The carried card 2 is cleaned by the roll 4. At this time, because a base member 11 is pushed downward by the card 2 through the rolls 10a, 10b, a brush 9 is detached from the back surface of the card 2. Besides, when the card 2 is not between the rolls 10a and 10b, the base member 11 is pushed up by a spring 12, and the brush 9 is pressed to the cleaning surface of the roll 4 so as to remove the stain stuck on the cleaning surface.
