Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the title device and to reduce the cost thereof by using a panel light emitting laser for the semiconductor laser of a writing device and executing latent image recording by varying of wavelengths. CONSTITUTION:An electric field is applied to the panel light emitting laser beam 2 and the wavelength thereof is varied to form the latent image on an electrostatically charged photosensitive drum 1. The development for visualization of this latent image is executed. Toners of respective colors; yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) co-exist in respective particles type in a developing device 4 and are electrostatically charged by an agitator. The toners of the respective colors vary in the quantity of the electrostatic charge with a difference in the grain sizes and adhere onto the photosensitive drum in accordance with the potential distribution thereon, thus forming the visible color image. This image is transferred by a transfer roller 6 onto plain paper 11 and is fixed by a fixing roller 7. The stage consisting of exposing developing recharging which is heretofore repeated several times is completed in one time and, therefore, the device is simplified in construction and reduced in size.
