Abstract
PURPOSE:To absorb vibrations generated in image formation and to improve the picture quality of an image by providing a movable shock absorption part and a fixation part which fixes the shock absorption part at a position corresponding to the running direction conversion position of an optical system. CONSTITUTION:When a print key is turned on, an optical system motor which moves the optical system is driven and a 1st moving body 11 is moved to a specific position with a wire 17. At this point of time, the shock absorbing device 60 is pressed by the 1st moving body 11 to move on a rail 116 because an electromagnet 61 and an electromagnet 62 at the fixed part are free. When the 1st moving body 11 moves to a position corresponding to the size of copying paper P or a variable magnification copy, the electromagnets 61 and 62 are excited. The shock absorbing device 60 is fixed on the rail 116 through the excitation of the electromagnet 62 and the position is a return position. Further, the electromagnet 61 is excited for repulsion by damper operation to the 1st moving body 11.
