Abstract
PURPOSE: To simply fabricate an article with a handle by placing a handle end part to the corresponding position on the article before attaching handle attachment tapes. CONSTITUTION: A gable carton C filled with its content and sealed is advanced along a linear horizontal feed path, compressed and loaded on a carrier 5. Clamps 14, 31 are opened, and a tape holder 8 draws a tape T1 from a roll while a device 2 pushes a row of cartons to the carrier 5. A desired length of the tape T1 is drawn, the clamps 14 and 31 are closed, and when the tape T1 is cut out by actuating a knife 15, the both ends of the tape drop toward of the carton row by their own weight. Forks 23, 23' move down to press both ends of the tape against the carton row. The carrier 5 advances between rolls 25 to fix the handle with the tape while fixing the carton of this row with the tape.
