Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a molded product, consisting of a highly thermostable polyarylene thioether ketone and, as necessary, thermoplastic polymer miscible therewith, etc., capable of facilitating application of normal melt processing methods and having excellent heat resistance and strength. CONSTITUTION:A molded product obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. highly thermostable polyarylene thioether ketone, consisting of recurring units expressed by the formula (groups -CO- and -S- are bonded through benzene rings to the p-positions) as main constituent elements, having 310-380 deg.C melting point (Tm), >=10J/g residual melt crystallization enthalpy (DELTAHmc) and >=210 deg.C melt crystallization temperature (Tmc) at that time and >=1.34g/cm<3> density of the crystallized substance with (B) <=100pts.wt. thermoplastic polymer (e.g. polyarylene thioether) miscible with the component (A) and (C) <=300pts.wt. fibrous filler and/or inorganic filler (e.g. glass fiber) and melt molding the resultant blend.
