Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at machining of a work over the whole length of the inner circumferential face thereof by providing, in the front face of a chuck main body, a stopper for receiving the back face and outer periphery of the work, and disposing a collet chuck for catching the inner face of the work in an opening formed in the center thereof, in such a way as to be freely emerging. CONSTITUTION:A collet chuck 32 is with drawn into an opening 31, and then, respective fastening members 3 are laterally oriented, and thereat, after a work is attached to a work stopper 30, the work is advanced so that a collet 38 is inserted inside the work. The collet 38 is expanded by the advance of an expander 36 so as to catch the inner circumferential face of the work. The fastening members 3 are turned by the retreat of an advancing/retreating member 6 so that the work is pressingly fixed to the front surface of a main body 1, and then, the collet 38 is contracted so as to be removed from the work, and the collet chuck 32 is with drawn into the opening 31. After that, the inner face of the work is cut and the work is removed by reverse operation. Therefore, even a thin work can be cut without any deformation.
