Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten a time taken for exchanging a wire during working by providing a plurality of wire supply side dies to supply the same number of wires as that of dies to the respective wire supply side dies. CONSTITUTION:In upper and lower support devices 6, 11 of a vertically moving ram 5 are provided with first and second upper and lower dies 7, 9 and 8, 10 to supply a large diameter wire 1 for rough working and a small diameter wire 2 for finishing respectively from wire reels 3, 4 to the upper dies 7, 9for example. After the completion of rough working by the first wire 1, the wire 1 is cut off, a workpiece in a working tank 12 is moved a distance between the dies 7, 9 by X, Y tables 13, 14, the second wire 2 is inserted into a working hole of workpiece and the second lower dies 10 and trained over a take-up reel 15 for finishing. Thus, a wire exchanging operation can be rapidly carried out and wires having different diameters and materials can be used for various uses.
