Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a composition capable of giving a baked substrate board having improved flexural strength, thermal conductivity, chemical resistance, etc., by compounding glass powder, ceramic powder and an oxidizing agent at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The glass ceramic composition is composed of 35-65wt.% of glass powder, 5-65wt.% of ceramic powder and 0-10wt.% of an oxidizing agent. The glass powder essentially contains 35-65wt.% of SiO2, 1-20wt.% of Al2O3, 1-30wt.% of MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO, 0-15% of LiO2+Na2O+K2O, 1.5-55wt.% of PbO, 0-10wt.% of ZnO, 0-10wt.% of ZrO2+TiO2 and 0-0.9wt.% of B2O3. A substrate board produced by baking the above composition has high flexural strength and thermal conductivity and excellent heat- resistance and chemical resistance.
