Abstract

PURPOSE: To solve the impossibility of delivery due to resident's absence by providing the receiving box with a front door to be opened/closed only by a prescribed deliverer, a takeout door to be opened/closed only from an owner side and a means for detecting the existence of delivered articles and the number of delivered articles and allowing the box to issue a receipt. CONSTITUTION: When a deliverer depresses a power supply switch 22 and inserts an ID card 20 into an insertion port 24, the card 20 is checked by a reader/writer, and when the card is a real card, the front door 4 is unlocked and the remaining usable frequency of the card 20 is simultaneously displayed. Then, the deliverer opens the door 4 and an inner door 10, charges delivered articles in a delivery storing part 8 and closes the door 10. The delivered article is detected by a delivered article sensor 19, the closed door 10 is locked and a stock display lamp 29 is turned on. When the deliverer closes the door 4, the door 4 is locked. When the deliverer depresses a receipt demanding switch 23, a printer device is driven and receipts 21 corresponding to the number of delivered articles are printed out and ejected from a takeout port 25. After the lapse of a prescribed time, the card 20 is returned from the insertion port 24. Since the takeout door 6 is prepared only for an owner, the delivered articles can be safely stored.
