Abstract

PURPOSE:To display a picture on a television receiver, etc., with simple constitution by equipping a control means to match an image signal to the scanning speed of a display means and to display it. CONSTITUTION:An image is picked up only for a necessary time length by arranging a two-dimensional image-pick up element 13 like a CCD, for example, on the image- forming surface of a subject and operating a shutter 12 through a control circuit 16. The shutter 12 is operated by the operation of an image picking up and reproducing switch 15, and a magnetic drum driving circuit 18 is operated to drive a magnetic recording medium, namely, a magnetic drum 17. Then, picture information, which is the output of the image-pick up element 13, are recorded through a recording reproducing circuit 19 to the magnetic drum 17. The reading speed of the picture information from the image-pick up element 13 is determined in considering the picture information keeping time of the image-pick up element 13 or the performance of the magnetic head of a magnetic recording system, the recording intensity of the magnetic drum 17 and the performance of a television receiver 20 for a reproducing and display or a VTR for a picture recording regardless of a shutter speed. Thus, the picture can be displayed on the television receiver, etc.
