Abstract
PURPOSE:To enlarge the effective size of bath tub which is sanitary and safe, and improve its thermal efficiency by providing a bath tub with a far infrared ray radiating ceramic body which radiates far infrared rays when heated, and boiling water in the bath tub by the heat from the ceramic body. CONSTITUTION:A far infrared ray radiating ceramic body 2 is attached to the wall 1' of a bath tub 1, and various electrical switches 3 as well as various controls CS such as timer, temperature regulating controller 4, etc., are mounted on the upper rim 1a. In order to prevent physical contact with the far infrared ray radiating ceramics 2, a protector 5 is disposed which has a screen 6 that allows the water in the bath tub 1 to flow through. By means of heat released from said far infrared ray radiating ceramics 2, the water in the bath tub 1 is boiled. Therefore, there is no need to have a gas boiler or other type of water heater, resulting in the enlarged effective size of the bath tub 1. Further, the structure can be simplified, sanitary and safe, and the thermal efficiency can be improved.
