Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously image-pick up a number of objects by connecting the external storage of a large storing capacity besides a memory in a digital still camera. CONSTITUTION:A memory 14 is mounted to a digital still camera 1 by a collector 17 and an external storage 2 is connected to the camera 1 by a connecting cable 8. Then the photographing of the object is executed. When a shutter release button is operated, the object image of one frame, which is picked up by an image-pick up device 44, is successively outputted to an output 13. The video signal of the output 13 is converted to digital data by a signal processor 12 and accumulated through a switch circuit 18 to the memory 14. When the image of the prescribed frame is stored to the memory 14, the device 12 switches the circuit 18 to an interface circuit 16. There, an image signal to succeed the prescribed frame is outputted through the circuit 16 to the cable 8. When the signal is received through the cable 8 in the device 2, one of memories 22 is selected and the video signal is written.
