Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive camera, whose structure is simple, and which guarantees the precision in photographing equal to a conventional autofocusing camera by providing a range finder, a photometry device, a film sensitivity switching device and a flash light emitting device in a pan-focus camera or a zone focus camera. CONSTITUTION:A signal 2 expressing the set photographing distance of a photographic lens 1 and an object distance signal 4 expressing the measured distance from the range finder 3 are inputted in a diaphragm arithmetic circuit 5 so as to compute the set diaphragm value by which the position of the object is within the depth of the field of the photographic lens 1 corresponding to the set film sensitivity. The proper diaphragm value for exposure is computed from the set film sensitivity signal 22 from a film sensitivity switching device 21, the object distance signal 4 and a guide number. By selecting the diaphragm value whose aperture area is smaller as the set diaphragm value, a set diaphragm value signal 6 is outputted. Thus, the inexpensive camera whose structure is simple can always execute photographing in which the precision is as excellent as the conventional autofocusing camera.
