Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency and safety and to form a tough corrosion preventing coat on an underwater structure by pressing and spreading a hydraulic lining material having high viscosity on the surface of the structure with an impact vibrator. CONSTITUTION:The part of an underwater steel or concrete structure submerged under water and the part splashed with water are coated with a hydraulic lining material having high viscosity of >=about 10,0000 P at 20 deg.C, causing curing by three-dimensional cross-linking in water and exhibiting superior corrosion preventiveness. The lining material may be based on two-pack solventless epoxy resin or unsatd. epoxy ester resin. After water organisms and rust are removed from the parts of the structure to be coated, button-shaped lumps of the lining material are pressed against the surfaces of the parts and spread on the surfaces under vibration applied by an impact vibrator to coat the parts with the lining material in a desired thickness.
