Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid-crystal shutter unit, which is handled simply and can be installed to a frame accurately, by mounting a liquid-crystal panel holder fixing liquid crystal panel-liquid crystal drive IC-control board constituting an optical signal generating section. CONSTITUTION:An optical signal generating section is composed of a liquid crystal shutter 1, a liquid crystal drive substrate 6 and FPCs 7, 8, 9 electrically connecting these shutter and substrate, and these shutter, substrate and FPCs are fastened to a liquid-crystal panel holder 10. The liquid crystal shutter 1 and the liquid crystal drive substrate 6 are fixed in such a manner that both end sections of the shutter 1 are fastened to recessed sections 10a, 10a in the liquid-crystal panel holder 10 with adhesives, and the substrate 6 is fixed by substrate fixing screws 11 and screw protruding parts 10b formed to the liquid- crystal panel holder 10. Consequently, the liquid crystal shutter 1 and the liquid crystal drive substrate 6 can be handled as a liquid-crystal panel unit unified by the liquid-crystal panel holder 10, thus remarkably improving handling characteristics. Since said unit is fastened to a liquid crystal printer main body by fixing holes 10C, a fixing method is simplified, and the unit can be replaced simply when trouble is generated in a liquid-crystal shutter unit.
