Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve safety when a person rides on/off a rolling stock by measuring a gap between a door of rolling stock and platform then providing an alarm if the gap is larger than a predetermined level and blocking opening of door. CONSTITUTION:A supersonic sensor 11 for measuring a gap between a door of rolling stock and a platform is fixed to the lower portion of the door 50 of rolling stock, then a gap detected through a detecting section 12 is inputted to a control section 2. If the gap is larger than a predetermined value, an alarm section 3 comprising an announcing section 31 and a speaker 32 is operated to provide an alarm to passenger. At the same time, opening of the door is blocked. An alarm can be provided to passenger prior to opening of door if the door is separated from the platform thus improving safety.
