Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity, humidity resistance, and durability of a photosensitive body by forming a specified compound near the interface between an interlayer and a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is formed by successively laminating on a conductive supporting body 1 the photosensitive layer 2 composed essentially of Se and As, the interlayer 3, and a surface protective layer 4. As2O3 arsenolite, or an analogous compd. are formed near the interface between the lower part of the layer 3 and the upper part of the layer 2 by forming the layer 3 made of an inorganic oxide, such as SiO, SiO2, TiO, or TiO2, or a prescribed organosilicon compound, or a polysiloxane compound, and either of a single layer or laminated layers made of As2Se3 or the like may be used for the layer 2.
