Also, this typewriter is provided with an error detecting memory (j) for storing a spelling error which has been detected by a spelling check processing (c) in this check condition enlarging means (i), and a line feed executing means (k) for executing a line feed processing in response to the carriage return key operation (h) which has been executed again in a state that a spelling error has been stored in this error detecting memory (j). In such a way, an error correcting operation of the word concerned can be executed surely and simply, and the operability at the time of the editing mode can be remarkably improved.
