Abstract

PURPOSE:To irradiate a bonding area of an optical disc evenly with light, by emitting a light, which is delivered from a light source by way of optical fibers, through the emission sections held by a holder. CONSTITUTION:A turn table 24 on which an optical disc is placed is moved together with a turntable moving stand 10 to a prescribed position at which they are stopped. An air cylinder 6 is driven to cause a holder 3 holding the emission sections of optical fibers, integrated with a weight supporter 4 to descent to place a weight consisting of a silica glass plate 36 and a metallic ring 38 on a disc 31 and to further descent to a prescribed lower position some distance apart from the turntable 24 at which the holder 3 is stopped, thus bringing the emission sections 2 of optical fibers into a prescribed position for irradiation. The turntable 24 is then turned at a constant rate, and the shutter at a light source is opened to emit a light through the emission sections of optical fibers 1 towards the optical disc 31 for irradiation for a prescribed period of time. Then the shutter is closed, and the turntable 24 is stopped.
