Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothen a dredging operation without scattering of sludgy soil on the bottom under water around water by a method in which an underwater pump is positioned near a suction port in water and connected to a tank on ship or ground's surface through a flexible transport tube, and a pump or an air blower are provided for the tank. CONSTITUTION:A float 11 is adjusted, a travel cart 10 on the bottom under water is landed on the sludgy soil 6, and its operating position is set up by turning left and right-handed screws 12. An actuator 14 is operated to displace an arm 13, and a suction port 2 is penetrated into the soil 6 on the bottom under water. An underwater pump 5 or air blower 4 is operated to force the soil 6 to put from the suction port 2 into a suction hose 15, and the soil 6 is sent through a transport pipe 16 to a tank 20. When the dredging operation is suspended, the port 2 is separated from the soil 6, and the surface water 7 is sucked up by the pump 5 or the air blower 4 and the soil 6 in a transport pipe 3 is sucked up to clean up the inside of the tube 3.
