Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a snowmelt roof material to effect efficient and low-cost melting of snow by a method wherein a conductive plastic form thin layer is formed on the back of the roof material. CONSTITUTION: A roof material 1 made of a metal consists of a roof surface 2 and a coupling part 3, a conducting plastic foam thin layer 5 is formed throughout the whole back of a back 4 of the roof material 1 or formed in a planar or a linear state on the back of an effective roof surface. The foam layer 5 is formed that conductive materials 7 are dispersed in the plastic form 6 and used as an antistatic agent, an antidewing agent, a conductive material, and a heat generating material. The foam layer 5 is electrically connected through a lead wire 8 and the temperature of a roof material 1 is increased for snowmelt.
