Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a numeral key which can also be used for automobile by arranging a reed switch with its longitudinal direction of glass tube perpendicular to a surface panel, interposing a plate made of a nonmagnetic material between an operation magnet, and actuating the reed switch by moving the operation magnet in the direction perpendicular to the surface panel. CONSTITUTION:A reed switch 2 soldered with a reed piece 3 perpendicular to and on a substrate 4 is arranged opposite to an operation magnet 1 with a glass plate 14 interposed in between, and the operation switch is moved along the longitudinal center line of the reed switch 2. A contact point sealed in the glass tube is turned on or off by the influence of a magnetic force. The magnetic force of the operation magnet 1 and the sensitivity of the reed switch 2 are adjusted so that the gap between the operation magnet 1 and the glass plate 14 is 5-10mm when the operation magnet 1 is brought near to the reed switch 2 and the reed switch is turned on. An operation box 6 is filled with polyurethane foam 13 to protect the operation box from external shocks and vibrations.
