Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize optical coupling by fastening and fixing an optical fiber to a holder.

The solder 6 is generally liable to be deformed when a temp. fluctuation arises, but the retaining plate 9 and the screws 10 are not easily deformed and since the holder 3 and the carrier 2 are fixed by welding, the change in the relative positions by the deformation is obviated. The positional relation between the LD 1 and the sphere-pointed fiber 5 is thereby stabilized.
