Abstract

PURPOSE: To uniformly illuminate a display panel without unequal brightness by disposing a total reflecting surface along the rear face of a light emitting part and disposing a diffusion reflecting surface along the side face thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent tube 11 having the straight light emitting part 11a emits lights as a power feed terminal is connected to a 2nd circuit board 16 and when electricity is supplied thereto. The specular surface-like total reflecting surface 13a is provided to the reflecting surface of a reflecting plate 12 positioned along the rear face of the light emitting part 11a of the fluorescent tube 11 and the diffusion reflecting surface 14a which has a high reflectivity to diffuse and reflect light is provided on the reflecting surface of the reflecting plate 12 positioned along the side face of the light emitting part 11a. The unequal brightness is thereby eliminated and the illumination efficiency is improved.
