Abstract
PURPOSE:To clean an observation hole by inserting a torch into the observation hole in case the observation hole in inner part of a converter becomes narrow with sticking solidified material of molten material in the furnace, injecting preheated powdered fuel by oxygen jet as high temp. flame to easily blow the stuck material in the observation hole. CONSTITUTION:In case the metal and molten slag in the furnace stick and solidify to the observation hole 1 in the converter and the observation hole becomes narrow, the torch 5 providing plural sets of tips 3 and nozzles 4 for supplying powdered fuel is inserted into the observation hole 1. Gas for preheating is supplied into the tip 3 from preheating gas piping 16 and ignited to generated preheating flame 7, and after preheating the powdered fuel injecting from the nozzle 4, the oxygen jet from the tip 3 is injected and the high temp. combustion flame is injected and the stuck material in the observation hole 1 is melted and blown out to make the observation hole 1 cleanly, and the observation in the furnace can be sufficiently executed.
