Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to apply heat processing simultaneously at plural positions with a uniform temperature by installing dummy coils or solenoids at part or all of heating inductors and heating them to equalize the temperature at each heating part. CONSTITUTION:Heating inductors C1-C9 are disposed at each heating part at plural positions of a member requiring heat processing at the plural positions respectively, and at part or whole of the heating inductors C1-C9 are installed dummy coils or solenoids D1-D4. High frequency current is applied to each heating inductor C1-C9 by means of a single high frequency generator 2, and each heating part is heated simultaneously by high frequency induction, where load balance at each heating inductor C1-C9 is adjusted by the dummy coils or solenoids D1-D4, so the temperature at each heating part is equalized. Hardening of cam parts at plural positions of a cam shaft 1 can thus be securely performed by one heat process, and risk of thermal distortion is almost completely eliminated.
