Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a packing material suitable for concentration and sepn. of compds. of phenyl groups, etc., by subjecting a hydrophilic porous polymer packing material contg. a hydroxyl group and specific ratio of ionic group to chemical modification with beta-cyclodextrin via an ionically neutral spacer. CONSTITUTION:The content of the ionic group excluding the amino group after solidification as a gel is taken at <=0.1mlg/ml in the case of applying amino acid-modified beta cyclodextrin (beta-CD) to a stationary phase. On the other hand, the hydrophilic porous polymer packing material contg. the alcoholic hydroxyl group is preferable as the hydroxyl group of the base gel. A polyglycidyl compd. constituted of the group of functional groups which have no ionicity and are stable in an aq. soln. is preferable as the spacer. 2, 3 or 6-position monoaminated beta-CD is adequate as the aminated beta-CD. The concentration or sepn. of the compds. of pheyl groups, etc., is enabled by this constitution.
