Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an inner wall of a screw from abrasion due to extrusion of rubber containing hard component, by covering the inner wall of a cylinder of a screw part of an extruder with a ceramic cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:An inner wall of a cylinder main body 1 of a screw part of an extruder is covered with a ceramic liner 2. The liner 2 is shrink-fitted in the cylinder main body 1. As a ceramic cylindrical body is weak to an inner pressure and very strong to an outer pressure, a strong enough clamping outer pressure is given by enough shrink fitting. Thereby, if the pre-compression pressure in the liner 2 is weakened due to the inner pressure, the stress does not change to tensile stress and no crack occurs due to the inner pressure.
