Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A temperature distribution is formed in the direction of column axis of an enzymatic reaction column 1 packed with immobilized enzyme in such a manner as to keep the temperature of the outlet 3 to be higher than the temperature of the inlet 2 of the raw material liquid for reaction. The deactivation of the immobilized enzyme takes place almost uniformly throughout the column. Accordingly, the effective length of the column is kept unchanged and the productivity is affected only by the lowering of the enzymatic activity. The lowering of productivity can be suppressed compared with conventional process.
