Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the capacity of a power source from lowering, by providing a relay operation cut-off section in a power supply section for a passive seat belt device provided therein with switches for opening and closing a door, harnessing a belt, releasing the belt and the like, and by cutting off the supply of power for harnessing the belt when door is closed. CONSTITUTION:Motors 30, 31 are driven and controlled by detecting circuits 22, 23, 25-1 through 25-n composed of door switches 11, 12 for detecting the opening and closing a door, a key switch, an ignition switch, a belt releasing switch, several apparatus position switches, lap switches 13-1 through 13-n and the like, and a microcomputer 26, and accordingly, a passive seat belt is set and released automatically. A relay operation cut-off section 24 is provided in a power supply section for switches other than the door switches 11, 12. A relay switch is turned off to cut off the power supply when the door is closed during normal belt harnessing operation. During running and parking, the consumption of power is restrained at a time when detection by each section is not required, thereby it is possible to prevent dropping of capacity of the power source.
