Abstract

PURPOSE:To accommodate folded recording paper in a large amount and thereby to prolong a period of replacement, by preventing the floating of the folded recording paper due to elasticity by a hold-down operation. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper pressing lever 61 of a recording paper stock element 60 moves vertically in gearing with a sprocket 2, and the folded part 1a of recording paper 1 fed by the sprocket 2 is pressed thereby in the direction of an arrow beta. A recording paper hold-down plate 62 provided for the stock element 60 has a stopper 62a having a spring property and being movable forward and backward, and the plate leads under the stopper 62a the folded part 1a pressed by the lever 61, so as to hold is down. When the folded part 1a comes to the position of the lever 61, therefore, it pressed down by the lever 61 and then held down under the stopper 62a of the recording paper hold-down plate 62. Although the hold-down plate 62 is to move upward due to the stiffness of the recording paper 1 on the occasion, it is pulled constantly by a spring 62b for return of the recording paper hold-down plate, and therefore the floating of the recording paper 1 is prevented. The lever 61 is made to return to a vertical position by a spring 61a for return of the recording paper pressing lever.
