Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide high speed cutting by forming a splash induction surface so as to contact a cylinder following the No.2 rake face, wherein the cylinder is in contact with No.2 rake face on the intersection of No.1 and No.2 rake faces, and thereby eliminating risk of the splash clogging. CONSTITUTION:A chip 3 No.2 rake face 3b constituting a positive angle is formed following No.1 rake face 3a constituting a negative angle. At the No.2 rake face 3b a splash induction surface 3c is formed having an edge part 3d or a contact 3e with a cylinder and being a plane contacting the cylinder on the cutting edge chamber side in contact with the rake face 3b on the intersection P of the rake faces 3a, 3b on the saw center side and in contact with the minute curvature 3g. Tooth bottom 5b of concave curvature is formed from the edge part 3d. Accordingly the splash curl radius will become the cylinder radius Rc, and the splash induction surface 3c is in line contact with the splash, there is not clog generated, and thus high speed cutting will be accomplished.
