Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of a fluorescent display tube and the breakdown of a drive transistor by driving a DC-DC converter by the output of a monostable multivibrator and resetting the monostable multivibrator capable of restarting by a signal resetting a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION: The signal perodically outputted by the microcomputer 1 is inputted to the monostable multivibrator 9 capable of restarting, and the DC-DC converter 8 is driven by its output, and the monostable multivibrator 9 capable of restarting is reset by the signal resetting the microcomputer 1. Thus, problems where the fluorescent character display tube 7 is deteriorated by centralizing voltage at a specified column by, for instance, the run away of the microcomputer 1 and the failure of a shift register or the like and the drive transistor of the DC-DC converter 8 is broken down by being overheated are evaded.
