Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a floor nozzle for a cleaner with improved sound absorbing effects for inhibiting a sound absorbing material from obstructing an air flow by providing a freely extendible and contractible sound absorbing material between a partition plate provided with a sound absorbing part and the side wall of a turbine chamber. CONSTITUTION: The partition plate 12 is installed almost parallelly to the side wall 13 of the turbine chamber 6 and is brought to a position facing the tip of a turbine 1 when a main intake hole 9 is closed. The freely extendible and contractible sound absorbing material 14 with full of flexibility is installed between the partition plate 12 and the side wall 13 of the turbine chamber. The partition plate 12 is provided with the sound absorbing part 16 composed of many holes. In a state where the main intake hole 9 is closed, noise generated when a jet collides with the turbine 1 is absorbed to the sound absorbing part 16 of the partition plate 12 present at the position facing the turbine 1 and the noise is attenuated by the sound absorbing material 14.
