CONSTITUTION:A hammer head 14 fitted to the tip of a hammer 13 is turnably supported by a support shaft 15. The tip of the hammer head 14 is provided with a groove 14a. Therefore, even where some error is present in the positional relationship between a platen 11 and the hammer 13, the hammer head 14 conforms to the shape of a type part 1b, so that the type part 1b can make favorable close contact with the platen 11. Accordingly, a uniform force can be applied to a type, and printing free of blurring can be achieved.
