Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A vital sample is mixed with a solution of 9-anthryl diazomethane under a normal temperature to form anthryl methyl ester of vanillyl mandelate. This treated solution is applied for a thin layer chromatography and vanillyl mandelate in the vital sample is determined from intensity of fluorescence from an anthryl methyl ester fraction produced by light irradiation. This enables easy highly sensitive determination of vanillyl mandelate.
