Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily separate optical fibers and to facilitate the production of the coated optical fibers by providing coating layers consisting of a UV curing type resin at specified intervals to an optical fiber tape. CONSTITUTION:After the UV curing type resin is coated on the optical fibers 1, UV rays are intermittently projected on the coating layer 2 consisting of said resin and the uncured UV curing type resin parts are removed, by which the coating layers 2 consisting of the UV curing type resin are provided at specified intervals on the coated optical fiber tape. Since exposed parts 1 and thereby provided to the optical fibers 1, the sepn. of the optical fibers 1 and the single-core connection to the other optical fibers, etc., are executable without removing the coating layers 2.
