Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of semiprocessed goods and to enhance quality and yield by projecting microwaves to the part being easily deformed of the semiprocessed goods before the calcination of it. CONSTITUTION:In the case of producing e.g. a jar 11 as ceramics, A part (hatching part) is often deformed by the weight of the upper part of the jar 11 at a preservation time till primary drying is performed after molding a stock. Therefore the A part of the semiprocessed goods being easily deformed is projected with microwave electric power, heated and strengthened during the time when it is calcined after molding a stock. In this case, both the surface layer part and the inner part of the semiprocessed goods can be heated nearly uniformly with microwaves and a defect such as a crack and promotion of drying of the surface layer part is not generated and strength of the semiprocessed goods can be enhanced. Therefore the part of the semiprocessed goods 25 being easily deformed is incorporated in the gap between waveguides 22A, 22B which are connected with the microwave oscillator 21A, 21B respectively and perforated through both sides and oppositely arranged in an oven 23 and the part is projected with microwaves.
