Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a recording and reproducing device operated stably with a low-cost by detecting a servo lock position roughly and then moving a spot at a lower speed than that at the detection so as to detect the servo lock position thereby closing the servo. CONSTITUTION:In giving a signal K to a phase compensation circuit 203 by a signal H, the lens position servo including a sensor 209 in the loop is applied, signal J, F are outputted from a processor 212 via DA converters 207, 211 to move the lens to the focusing position. At first the signal J is varied with constant signal F to detect roughly the focusing position. Then the signal F is varied with a constant signal J. In this case, since the moving quantity of the lens and the moving speed are selected sufficiently smaller than those in changing the signal J, the focal position is detected minutely to lock the automatic focusing servo. Through the constitution above, the moments of the lens is small, overshoot becomes smaller and the device is operated stably.
