Abstract

PURPOSE:To cause a master station equipment to supply a power to terminal equipment and, simultaneously, to execute half duplex communications by a polling system by that the master station equipment receives data from the terminal equipment by detecting the on and off conditions of the loop current of a two-wire line. CONSTITUTION:By supplying a power current through a two-wire line 3 to terminal equipment 2 with a master station equipment 1 and, simultaneously, by converting the polarity of the power current of the two-wire line 3 according to transmitting data, the data are transmitted with a double current signal. A consumption current is generated by rectifying the power current from the master station equipment 1 with the terminal equipment 2. Simultaneously, by the consumption current, the double current signal from the master station equipment 1 is detected and the data are received. By the consumption current, the loop current of the two-wire line 3 is turned on and off according to the transmitting data. The master station equipment 1 receives the data from the terminal equipment by detecting the on and off conditions of the loop current of the two-wire line 3. Thus, the power can be supplied to the terminal equipment 2 by the master station equipment 1, and the half duplex communications by the polling system can be executed.
