Abstract

PURPOSE:To picture-record all programs and all pages of all channels related to a character broadcasting onto a magnetic tape, or an optical disc, etc., with the changeover of a switching circuit by providing a CPU to give an instruction to successively search respective channels of an RF tuner part for a fixed time. CONSTITUTION:When switching circuits 5 and 6 are connected to a character broadcasting side, a some channel is selectively searched for a fixed time at an RF tuner part 2, a character broadcasting signal is extracted from a video signal at a character broadcasting receiving part 9, and the signal is temporarily stored into a memory 10. For the signal stored in the memory 10, a frequency is converted from a high band to a low band by a time converting part 18 so that the signal can be recorded even by a video tape recorder, and it is recorded by a recording and reproducing part 7 of the video tape recorder as the signal remains to be a digital signal. When a fixed time passes, the instruction to select the next channel is given from a CPU23 to the RF tuner part 2, the character broadcasting signal is extracted from the video signal sent through the newly selected channel, and it is recorded to the video tape recorder. In the same way, the character broadcasting signal is recorded to the video tape recorder as to all channels successively for the fixed time.
