Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled dispersion useful as an adhesive for woody chips, having stable dispersion state, excellent workability, capable of preventing excess penetration into porous materials, by using a mixture of an organic solvent having compatibility with water and water as a dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION:The aimed dispersion comprising a mixture of (A) water or an organic solvent having compatibility with water containing at least (i) a water-soluble polysaccharide or (ii) an reaction product of the component (i) and an isocyanate and (B) water as a dispersion medium. Xanthan gum or methyl cellulose is preferably used as the component (i) and an organic polyisocyanate and a nonionic surface active agent, especially a reaction product and/or a mixture of a monofunctional alkoxypolyalkylene glycol is preferably used as the organic polyisocyanate compound.
