Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a polyamide film, consisting of a blend of a specific crystalline polyamide with a specific amorphous polyamide, having excellent oxygen barrier properties, transparency, whitening resistance and transparency and flexibility in absorbing moisture. CONSTITUTION:A film obtained by blending (A) a crystalline polyamide consisting of (A1) 60-100mol.%, preferably 80-100mol.% xylylenediamine and, as necessary, other diamine lactams, etc., and (A2) one or more of 2-12C, preferably 4-8C dicarboxylic acids with (B) an amorphous polyamide consisting essentially of a blend of (B1) one or more of 2-15C, preferably 4-8C diamines (e.g. hexamethyelenediamine) and (B2) isophthalic acid and terephthalic acid at 98/2-55/45, preferably 75/25-60/40 ratio of the isophtalic acid/phthalic acid at 20/80-80/20, preferably 35/65-65/35 weight ratio (A/B) and forming the film.
