Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, hardly forming coarse particles, etc., in emulsion polymerization, having excellent storage stability, etc., and useful as a coating, coating material and adheisve for various substrates, by emulsion polymerizing a vinyl based monomer in the presence of a specific amount of a specified emulsifying agent. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition obtained by emulsion polymerizing (A) a vinyl based monomer (e.g. methyl acrylate or vinyl chloride) in the presence of (B) 1-8wt.% emulsifying agent consisting of (i) 60-85wt.% polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether, polyoxyalkylene alkyl phenyl ether or polyoxyalkylene fatty acid ester and (ii) 40-15wt.% polyalkylene glycol having 800-60,000 average mol.wt.
