Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fluid outstanding in heat resistance and long-term stability, suitable for use in valves, clutches, vibration devices, etc., by dispersing an oily medium with dielectric fine particles consisting of water-free electrically conductive particles coated with electrical insulation thin film. CONSTITUTION:The objective fluid can be obtained by dispersing (A) an oily medium outstanding in electrical insulation characteristics such as chlorinated disphenyl or butyl sebacate with (B) dielectric fine particles consisting of virtually water-free electrically conductive particles [e.g., of aluminum (alloy), carbon black, polythiophene, etc.-based polymer, cupuric (cuprous) sulfide] coated with electrical insulation thin film <=1mu thick such as of polyvinylidene fluoride, wax or silica. The component B is pref. spherical particles with a size of 1mu-several tenth mu; in particular, in case a with a size of several mu are especially desirable.
