Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform continuous rolling with good sheet thickness accuracy and to stabilize rolling from the coil top of a rolled stock by properly and correctively controlling a roll opening and a roll speed for a succeedingly rolled stock based on measured values of a rolling load and a rolling torque and a calculation result by a theoretical rolling equation. CONSTITUTION:At the time when a top 1 of a rolled stock of an (n) coil passes through the (i) the stand, a load P1<n> and a torque G1<n> are measured by a load cell 2i and a torque meter 3i respectively and are inputted to a computer 4 for setting up. Then, a friction coefficient mu1<n> and a deformation resistance K1<n> are calculated by the equation 1. An adaptive correction coefficients Cmui<n+1>, Ck for a friction coefficient and a deformation resistance of an (n+1) coil are calculated by the equation 2. A friction coefficient muoi<n+1> and a deformation resistance Koi<n+1> of the (n+1) coil under a standard rolling condition are predicted by the equation 3. Influence coefficients for the (n+1) coil under the standard rolling condition are calculated. A roll opening Si<n+1> and a roll speed vRi<n+1> for the (n+1) coil are calculated. Those command values are inputted to a drafting position controller 5 and a main machine speed controller 6 from the computer 4.
