Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a spiral precision sintered part having high relative density and high dimensional accuracy by kneading fine metal powder and thermoplastic resin, compacting to spiral-state by injection mold process and sintering under atmosphere after heating for degreasing. CONSTITUTION:The fine metal powder of mum particle size and binder of the thermoplastic resin is kneaded. As the above metal powder, alloy powder containing iron powder or steel powder of Fe as main component and 0.1-10wt.% alloy powder of one or more kinds of elements among C, Ni, Cu, Si, Mn, Mo, etc., or powder containing 0.1-10% one or more kinds of powder among Ni, Cu, Si, Mo, etc., and the balance iron powder or iron alloy powder is suitable. Next, the above kneaded material is compacted into the spiral part by the injection mold process. The green part obtd. by this process is heated to remove the binder. The brown part compacted by this process is sintered under atmospheric gas. By this method, the spiral precision sintered part 1 having high plastic density, excellent air-tightness, easy machining and high dimensional accuracy is obtd.
