Abstract

CONSTITUTION:In a crawler crane 1, a penetrating frame 2 is hung down from a hanging wire and a lower guide breast 4 to guide the frame 2 is projectionally provided. A long flexible shield plate 13 is rolled above a support base 12 attached to the tip of the breast 4 and set in such a way as to enable it to be freely pulled out toward the frame 2. The drawing end of the plate 13 is directed downwards along the front face of the frame 2 and fixed to the lower end. When the frame 2 is penetrated into the ground under such condition, the plate 13 is also pulled into the ground, and only the frame 2 is pulled up by releasing the fixation of the lower end, thus completing the penetration of the plate 13 into the ground.
